    Hi guys

So I’d like to start off by saying that I really like this gear a little bit about myself is I live and work on a sailing liveaboard that runs back to back charters out of Nassau Bahamas. In this review I’ll be speaking about both the jacket and bib I’ve been wearing it now for a while, and I have to say I enjoy it. This gear is by no means perfect and is not suited to all environments but I ultimately I do recommend this product. I’ll give a list of some pros and cons.

price point. It’s no surprise, this is some budget friendly gear, this not only means it is more obtainable, but this is gear you won’t feel bad about abusing.

Breathable. This gear breathes really really well, so during hard tasks or foul weather on warm environments, you won’t feel like you’re trapped in a steam room. With a long slave shirt I can comfortably wear this gear in warm but windy conditions.

Ruggedness. The material is surprisingly abrasion resistant, it holds up well to slip stop and other hard surfaces, the reinforcements are solid and I don’t see them wearing through any time soon.

    Some cons.

It’s light, this gear isn’t very structured or thick, it’s a little thicker then your average kway but not as thick as other gear ocean gear.

Waterproof. This gear is not extremely waterproof. After sitting and soaking in harsh conditions (force 5 and up) you most likely will soak through. The same goes for windproof. But these are factors that do aid in the breathability of the gear. And you can always treat the gear with waterproofing agents and the likes. Same as other gear.

Features this gear is missing pockets on the bubs which makes wearing bibs only a bit of a hassle, the hood isn’t very effective (but will so the job for the most part) and it’s missing a gear hook for storage.

All in all. I like my gear, I live in it comfortably most of the time. But when weather gets rough, I find it lacking in protection and features especially comparing it to other gear, however at the price point I really can not complain. It’s a fantastic product for an awesome price. If you’re looking for some lighter gear or gear for work. I highly recommend this product. When perchaising this gear I’d recommend you size up so you can fit loads of insulation underneath especially if you’re in a cooler environment.

Thanks for the read. I hope you find this review helpful.
